Why Minispace exists

In most daycares, telling parents about their child's day means doing the work twice. The educator notes meals, naps and observations on paper during the day, then someone retypes all of it in the evening into emails, a Facebook group, or texts sent from a personal phone. It takes time, things get lost, and photos of children end up on platforms that were never designed for them.

Minispace starts from a simple observation: that information has already been entered once. It should reach parents without anyone retyping it. That is the core of the product — the daily logbook is sent automatically at the time you choose, and parents receive a complete summary with no manual step.

What Minispace does

Everything happens in the browser: nothing to install, for your team or for families. Educators use it from a computer, a tablet or a phone.

Where children's data lives

Data is hosted in Quebec, on Canadian servers. No data leaves Canada. This is a deliberate choice: this is information about children, entrusted by their parents to a child care service.

Minispace is built to comply with Quebec's Law 25 (the act modernising legislative provisions on the protection of personal information) as well as the federal PIPEDA. Each daycare is isolated from every other, and access is controlled by role. The details are in our privacy policy.

Who is behind it

Minispace is a young project, developed in Quebec by Guillaume. This is not a large company: it is a product built and supported directly by the person who writes it. In practice, when you email support, you are talking to someone who knows the code.

That has two consequences worth stating plainly. The good one: requests from the daycares using it genuinely shape what gets built, and new features ship regularly. The other: the product does not yet have the feature surface of software that has been around for fifteen years. If something is essential to you, write to us before committing — we will tell you honestly whether it exists.

What it costs

One plan, $25 per month or $250 per year, per daycare. Unlimited children and educators, updates and support included. No tiers, no per-child billing, no setup fees.
